The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival at Kualanamu Airport and Transfer to Bukit Lawang

• Pick up from Kualanamu International Airport.

• Drive to Bukit Lawang (approx. 3-4 hours).

• Check in at your accommodation.

Day 02

Jungle Trekking in Bukit Lawang

• After breakfast, start jungle trekking.

• Trek for about 5-6 hours, with the chance to see Orangutans in their natural habitat.

• Picnic lunch is included during the trek.

• Optionally, return from the jungle by tubing through the Bahorok River.

• Return to the accommodation.

Day 03

Return to Medan and City Tour

• After breakfast, enjoy free time until pick-up.

• Drive back to Medan.

• Enjoy a Medan city tour.

• Check in at your hotel in Medan.

Departure to Kualanamu Airport

• After breakfast, depart for Kualanamu International Airport.

• End of tour.

Know before you go

• An English-speaking guide will be provided; guides in other languages are limited due to the high season.

• Persons using wheelchairs can participate in the trek, but they will need assistance from others to be carried during the trek.

• While we will do our best to spot Orangutans, sightings are not 100% guaranteed, as they are wild animals.

• Along with Orangutans, you may also have the opportunity to see four types of monkeys, two types of gibbons, hornbills, and the great argus pheasant, all of which are wild animals.

• The trek is considered easy to medium in difficulty, but it may become muddy after rain.

• Tubing is optional.
