Embark on this 9-day adventure-packed journey that is a perfect blend of mountain trekking and wildlife safari, designed for travellers seeking both high-altitude thrills and classic African wildlife experiences. You’ll trek up the Sirimon–Chogoria Route, the most scenic traverse on Mount Kenya, reaching Point Lenana (4,985m). After the mountain, you’ll transition into safari mode, exploring the Ol Pejeta Conservancy (famous for rhinos and chimpanzees) and the flamingo-filled Lake Nakuru National Park.

Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Sirimon Gate – Old Moses Camp (3,300m)
- Drive from Nairobi to Mount Kenya, hike to Old Moses Camp.
Accommodation: Hut | Meals: Lunch & Dinner
Day 2: Old Moses – Shipton’s Camp (4,200m)
- Trek through moorlands and valleys to the base camp.
Accommodation: Hut | Meals: Full board
Day 3: Acclimatization Day at Shipton’s Camp
- Optional hikes to help your body adjust.
Accommodation: Hut | Meals: Full board
Day 4: Summit Point Lenana – Descend to Lake Michaelson
- Early morning summit, then descend to the stunning Lake Michaelson.
Accommodation: Camping | Meals: Full board
Day 5: Lake Michaelson – Meru Bandas
- Descend through Gorges Valley, explore waterfalls, forest.
Accommodation: Bandas or camping | Meals: Full board
Day 6: Meru Bandas – Chogoria Gate – Transfer to Nanyuki
- Exit the park, drive to a hotel/lodge near Ol Pejeta for rest.

Day 7: Nanyuki – Ol Pejeta Conservancy – Game Drive
- Enjoy a game drive in this exclusive sanctuary, home to the last northern white rhinos and a chimpanzee rescue center.

Day 8: Ol Pejeta – Lake Nakuru National Park
- Drive to Nakuru. Game drive in the park famous for rhinos, flamingos, and leopards. Visit Makalia Falls.
