Day 1: Arrival – Machame Gate to Machame Camp (1,800m to 2,980m)
- Drive from Moshi or Arusha to Machame Gate (approximately 1.5 hours)
Register at the park gate and begin the trek through lush rainforest
Ascend steadily to Machame Camp (2,980m), hiking for 5 to 7 hours
Observe rich biodiversity and enjoy the scenic forest environment
Eat dinner and rest overnight at Machame Camp

Day 2: Machame Camp to Shira Camp (2,980m to 3,850m)
- Climb out of the rainforest and enter the moorland zone
Hike across a ridge with expansive views of the Shira Plateau
Continue ascending gradually to Shira Camp (3,850m), hiking for 5 to 6 hours
Watch the landscape become more open and dramatic
Eat meals and rest at camp

Day 3: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp (3,850m to 3,950m)
- Cross the alpine zone and ascend toward Lava Tower
Descend through valleys to reach Barranco Camp (3,950m)
Encounter diverse terrain including lava ridges and alpine desert
View the imposing Barranco Wall and nearby glaciers
Relax and recover at camp after 6 to 8 hours of trekking

Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp (3,950m to 4,035m)

Rest and allow the body to acclimatize to higher elevation
Enjoy a lighter trekking day to prepare for summit approach

Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp (4,035m to 4,640m)
- Ascend through alpine desert toward Barafu Camp (4,640m)
Pass through barren, windswept terrain with minimal vegetation
Reach Barafu in 4 to 5 hours and prepare for the summit attempt
Eat an early dinner and rest ahead of midnight summit push
Organize gear and review the summit plan with your guide

Day 6: Summit Day – Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp (4,640m to 5,895m to 3,100m)
- Wake up around midnight and begin the summit ascent
Trek via Stella Point (5,756m) to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa
Reach the summit after 6 to 8 hours of strenuous climbing
Celebrate the achievement and begin the descent to Mweka Camp (3,100m)
Descend through alpine desert and moorland for another 5 to 6 hours
Rest and recover at Mweka Camp after a long and fulfilling day
Meals: Light Summit Snack, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Overnight: Mweka Camp (3,100m) -
Day 7: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate – Return to Moshi/Arusha (3,100m to 1,640m)
- Hike for 3 to 4 hours through rainforest to Mweka Gate
Sign out at the gate and receive your summit certificates
Drive back to Moshi or Arusha for post-climb celebration
Enjoy a hot shower, cold drink, and reflect on your journey
Depart or continue with onward travel plans
