Day 01
Cheorwon DMZ, 2nd Tunnel and Hantangang Geopark
- 08:00 - Meet at your hotel in Seoul and depart for Cheorwon, located in Gangwon Province.
- 10:00 - Arrive at Cheorwon Crane Park.
- Ticketing and introduction to the area.
Begin the DMZ tour, including:
- The 2nd Tunnel - a North Korean infiltration tunnel discovered in the 1970s.
- Peace Observatory - panoramic views of the DMZ and beyond.
- Woljeong-ri Station - a symbolic site of Korean division.
- Labor Party Building - a remnant of North Korean governance before the Korean War.
- 14:00 - Enjoy lunch featuring local Cheorwon specialties.
- 15:00 - Visit Hantangang River UNESCO Global Geopark.
- Explore the area's volcanic terrain and unique geological features.
- Cross the suspension bridge for scenic views of the river valley.
- 16:30 - Depart for Seoul.
- 18:00 - Arrive back in Seoul and end of the tour.
Optional in winter:
- Walk along a UNESCO Global Geopark trail.
- Experience the deck path and floating bridge that feels like walking on water through frozen landscapes.
