Description

The Louvre is a huge museum (about 14 km of exhibition space, with 35,000 works of art on display), so don't try to see everything in one visit. It is a crowded museum all year round, so visiting it can be tiring and challenging, but with a guide, it's easier to navigate the maze of halls and corridors of the former Royal Palace.

It's really helpful to skip the long lines without having to plan anything, hunt for the treasures of this iconic museum with ease, and enjoy the guide's explanations.

If you're in Paris on a Wednesday or Friday, when the museum is open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, a late afternoon or even evening tour is recommended for a more relaxing visit.

This is a classic tour that follows masterpieces of Western civilisation, such as:

IMPORTANT:

The tour can be cancelled 48 hours (Paris local time) before the start, but tickets and museum fees are non-refundable, due to museum policy (€20 for 6 pax / €90 for +6 pax).

The name, date and visiting hours cannot be changed. It is mandatory to have an ID with you. The real and full name of the tourists is required for booking.

No eating or drinking is allowed in the exhibition rooms, but a small bottle of water is allowed and recommended. Other liquids are not permitted.

For this tour is recommended to travel light and bring only what you need. Items exceeding 55 cm x 35 cm x 20 cm (14 in x 21.5 in x 8 in) are not allowed in the Louvre, but a suitable space where you can store things is provided free of charge by the museum.

Certain sections are closed on certain days, or may be closed ad hoc by the museum without any notice. Certain works of art may be missing from the museum, traveling for temporary exhibitions, in which case others will be explained, at the guide's discretion.

A ticket gives you access to the permanent collections and temporary exhibitions of the Louvre, as well as to the Eugène-Delacroix Museum the same day and the day after your visit of the Louvre. Reservations are required from 12 April to 12 May 2025. From 1 to 10 April 2025: the Eugène-Delacroix Museum will be closed for technical reasons.’’ - Louvre Museum

ITINERARY:

The tour includes a glimpse of the Medieval Louvre, ancient Greek and Roman sculptures, masters from the Early and High Italian Renaissance, the French Crown Jewels, famous French Neoclassical and Romantic paintings and ends with Renaissance and Neoclassical sculptures.

Meeting Point

Next to the bronze equestrian statue of Louis XIV, located in front of the glass Louvre pyramid. The tour ends inside the museum.
