Know before you go

Important:

  • The tour can be cancelled up to 48 hours (Paris local time) before the start, but tickets and museum fees are non-refundable due to museum policy (€20 for 6 pax / €90 for more than 6 pax).
  • The name, date, and visiting hours cannot be changed. It is mandatory to have an ID with you. The real and full name of the tourists is required for booking.
  • No eating or drinking is allowed in the exhibition rooms, but a small bottle of water is allowed and recommended. Other liquids are not permitted.
  • For this tour, it is recommended to travel light and bring only what you need. Items exceeding 55 cm x 35 cm x 20 cm (14 in x 21.5 in x 8 in) are not allowed in the Louvre, but a suitable storage space is provided free of charge by the museum.
  • Certain sections are closed on certain days, or may be closed ad hoc by the museum without notice. Certain works of art may also be absent from the museum while traveling for temporary exhibitions; in that case, others will be explained at the guide's discretion.
  • A ticket gives you access to the permanent collections and temporary exhibitions of the Louvre, as well as to the Eugène-Delacroix Museum on the same day and the day after your visit to the Louvre. Reservations are required from 12 April to 12 May 2025. From 1 to 10 April 2025, the Eugène-Delacroix Museum will be closed for technical reasons.
  • For more than 6 pax (up to a maximum of 25 pax), there are other museum fees and therefore other rates. Please inquire. Advance booking is required.

The tour includes a glimpse of the Medieval Louvre, ancient Greek and Roman sculptures, masters from the Early and High Italian Renaissance, the French Crown Jewels, famous French Neoclassical and Romantic paintings, and ends with Renaissance and Neoclassical sculptures.
