Day 01

Private Perfume Creation Workshop in Amsterdam

1. Welcome & Introduction (15 minutes)

Arrival takes place at your hotel or rented venue.
The expert perfumer and their team will greet participants.
Enjoy a welcome drink (sparkling water or non-alcoholic beverages) and light snacks while being introduced to the workshop and the art of perfumery.
Learn about the fascinating world of fragrances - their history, how scents are created, and the role of perfumery in art and culture.
The perfumer will also provide an introduction to the basic perfume-making process and the types of fragrances that can be created, such as floral, oriental, and woody scents.

2. Scent Exploration & Discovery (30 minutes)

The perfumer will guide participants through various fragrance families, including floral, citrus, woody, and oriental, while explaining the characteristics of each scent category.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore more than 50 different essential oils, aroma compounds, and raw materials.
They will smell and discover notes such as jasmine, sandalwood, bergamot, vanilla, and many others, learning how they work together to create a harmonious fragrance.

3. Perfume Creation (60 minutes)

Each participant will be assigned a scent palette of essential oils and fragrance components to begin blending.
Using professional perfume-making tools, participants will combine top, middle, and base notes to create their own fragrance.
The perfumer will guide participants through the blending process, helping them balance their scents and perfect their creations.
This is a hands-on, creative experience where participants can experiment and fine-tune their personal perfume formula.
If requested, the workshop can focus on specific scents to match a personal or company theme. For example, the fragrance can be tailored to reflect a brand's identity or values for a corporate event.

4. Bottling and Personalizing (20 minutes)

Once the fragrance is perfected, participants can bottle their unique creation into a 30ml glass bottle to take home as a personalised keepsake.
Participants can add a personal label with their name, brand, or message on the perfume bottle to make the experience even more memorable.
The perfumer will also provide tips on caring for and storing perfumes, ensuring the fragrance lasts long after the workshop is finished.

5. Farewell & Closing (15 minutes)

After completing the perfume-making process, the group will gather for a short discussion and debrief, where participants can share their experience.
