The itinerary

Day 01

Mountain Oases, Chott El Djerid, and Desert Camp

After breakfast at the hotel, depart for the mountain oases in the heart of the Atlas Mountains.
Arrive at Chebika and enjoy a walking tour of the oasis, known for its natural springs and breathtaking scenery.
Continue to Tamerza to visit the waterfalls and the old abandoned village, which offers spectacular panoramic views.
Depart for the Sahara region from Tozeur.
After lunch, continue to Douz via Chott El Djerid, the famous salt lake, an immense salt depression with unusual landscapes.
Arrive in the Sahara area, known as "the gateway to the desert," and enjoy a typical lunch featuring local specialities.
Arrive at the campsite, where you can admire one of the world's most beautiful sunsets over the sand dunes, followed by an excellent dinner.
Spend a superb night in a comfortable, well-equipped tent under a magnificent starry sky, where the most famous constellations are visible to the naked eye.

Day 02

Douz, Tamezret, Matmata, and Berber Heritage

Wake up to the light of dawn in a superb Saharan landscape and admire the sunrise over the sand dunes - an experience to enjoy at least once in your life.
Afterwards, you will be served a rich and hearty breakfast to start the day with plenty of energy.
Continue by vehicle until reaching the town of Douz.
Visit the local market, famous for its babouches, traditional slippers made from camel skin.
Optional excursions on camels or quad bikes are available before continuing to the village of Tamezret, crossing the beginning of the Dhahar massif.
Arrive at Tamezret, a superb Berber ridge village, one of the very few still inhabited in southern Tunisia, built on a hilltop with an ancient mosque.
Depart for Matmata, a troglodytic Berber village with its famous lunar landscape and houses carved into the hillsides. Visit a troglodytic house to discover the Berber way of life.
Visit the old troglodytic hotel "Sidi Driss," a filming location for the famous film "Star Wars."
Cross the Dhahar massif with a panoramic stop at Toujene, a superb Berber village hidden away in the massif.
Arrive at the Dar Ennaim troglodyte hotel, with dinner included.

Day 03

Chenini Village and Return to Tozeur

Depart early and drive to Chenini, the crest village of sublime beauty, with its beautiful houses excavated in the rocks. Enjoy a walking tour through the village up to the ancient ksar on the peak of the mountain and the small white mosque.
Depart for Tozeur.
