The National Park of Peneda-Gerês is located in the north-eastern part of Portugal, along the border with Spain. Beyond its lagoons, waterfalls, small untouched villages, cattle, wild horses and goats, and Iberian wolves, this is one of the places in Portugal where protected wild animal species can still be found. Instead of focusing on the areas of the park that everyone visits, this version of the tour takes you to places rich in cultural heritage, landmarks, and villages where you can still see how rural life once was in the countryside, with some walking through preserved areas for close contact with the land, animals, people, traditions, and way of life.

On the way, stop at one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the region, with a very high probability of seeing wild horses (garranos).
