Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve Safari

  • Have an early breakfast.
  • Depart from your Nairobi hotel at around 7:30 a.m. for Samburu National Reserve.
  • Arrive in time for lunch and relax at the camp.
  • Embark on an evening game drive to spot rare drought-resistant animals and big cats.

Overnight at Samburu Simba Camp or Sarova Shaba Lodge (Full Board).

Morning and Evening Game Drives in Samburu

  • Enjoy an early breakfast.
  • Go on a morning game drive in search of rare Samburu species for about 4 hours.
  • Return for lunch and rest.
  • Take an evening game drive until 6:00 p.m.

Overnight at Samburu Simba Camp or Sarova Shaba Lodge (Full Board).

Day 03

Samburu to Nakuru via the Equator and Rift Valley

  • Eat an early breakfast.
  • Depart Samburu with a game drive en route to Nakuru.
  • Stop at the Equator for photos.
  • Have lunch in Nyahururu.
  • Pass through the Kenyan highlands with stops at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint and a tea plantation.

Overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge (Full Board).

Wildlife Viewing in Lake Nakuru National Park

  • Proceed on a morning game drive after breakfast.
  • Return to the lodge for lunch.
  • Take an afternoon game drive until 6:00 p.m.
  • Spot flamingos, numerous bird species, and mammals including rhinos and lions.

Lake Nakuru to the Masai Mara

  • Have breakfast.
  • Travel to the Masai Mara and arrive in time for lunch.
  • Rest until 4:00 p.m.
