6-Day Tanzania Safari and Zanzibar Beach Escape with Big Game Viewing

• Upon your arrival at the airport, our guide will be waiting for you. After a brief introduction, you will proceed to Tarangire National Park for game viewing and a picnic lunch. After the game drive, you will continue to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.
• The park takes its name from the Tarangire River, which crosses through it and serves as the only source of water for wild animals during the dry season. The park is famous for its large numbers of elephants, baobab trees, and tree-climbing African pythons.

• After breakfast early in the morning, we will drive to the gates of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the crater, where you will be able to see many animals living within it.
• The crater is the world's largest caldera, formed after an explosion that occurred approximately 2-3 million years ago. The crater floor lies 1,800 meters (5,900 feet) above sea level, and the area is home to around 30,000 animals and a great variety of birds.

• After breakfast, our safari guide will pick you up from your hotel or lodge and proceed to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing and a picnic lunch. After the game drive, you will transfer to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival at Zanzibar Airport, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel.
• Manyara Park covers an area of only 330 sq km (127 sq miles), of which up to 200 sq km (77 sq miles) is made up of the lake when water levels are high.
• Lake Manyara is an excellent place for birdwatching and a good area to find elephants, giraffes, zebras, baboons, warthogs, buffaloes, and maybe even a legendary tree-climbing lion.
• At some point during your game drive, you should get out of your vehicle at the hippo pool to stretch your legs and observe the hippos here.

• For these two days, you will be relaxing on the outstanding clean beaches of Zanzibar. Activities such as a spice tour and dolphin tour can be added to the program at an extra cost.
• Zanzibar is the main island in the Tanzanian archipelago, consisting of Unguja, Pemba Island, and many smaller islands. It is also home to Stone Town, a historic trade center with Swahili and Islamic influences.
