Itinerary

1. Day 1

   Morning:

   • Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up in Arusha, where you’ll meet your expert safari guide. 
   • Set off in a 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser, traveling towards Tarangire National Park. Known for its open savannah, iconic baobab trees, and seasonal swamps, this park is a haven for wildlife. 
   • Watch elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and wildebeests gather near the Tarangire River. With a keen eye, you may spot fringe-eared oryx and the unique gerenuk. Keep a lookout for predators such as lions, always lurking nearby.

   Afternoon:

   • After a thrilling game drive, head to the Sangaiwe Tented Lodge for a relaxing overnight stay. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings and unwind after a day of wildlife encounters.

2. Day 2

   Morning:

   • After breakfast, begin your journey towards Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands and Lake Manyara. As you cross the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you’ll reach the vast plains of the Serengeti by early afternoon.

   Afternoon:

   • Settle into the Kati Kati Tented Camp, your base for the next three nights. The Serengeti, famous for its incredible wildlife and as the host of the Great Migration, offers unparalleled safari experiences. Depending on the season, your camp will be ideally positioned to maximize viewing opportunities of the migration.

   Meals: Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner

3. Day 3: Serengeti National Park – Full Day Game Drive

   Morning:

   • After breakfast, head out for a morning game drive across the Serengeti. This is the best time to spot predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs as they hunt or rest in the cool morning air.

   Game Drive Highlights:

   Track predators at waterholes.

   Observe herbivores like giraffes, zebras, and buffalo.

   Watch interactions between species and spot iconic animals.

   Late Morning:

   • Take a break with refreshments and snacks at a scenic spot, soaking in the vast landscape.

   Afternoon:

   • Continue your drive through the Serengeti, exploring different areas. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration or observe predator-prey interactions.

   Game Drive Highlights:

   See the Great Migration (if in season).

   Observe scavengers at predator kills.

   Explore the Seronera Valley for big cats.

   Evening:

   • Return to camp, relax, and enjoy a delicious dinner.

4. Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Full Day Game Drive

   Morning:

   • After breakfast, embark on a full-day drive in the western or northern Serengeti. This allows you to explore different wildlife areas, especially if the migration is occurring in those regions.

   Game Drive Highlights:

   Spot lions, cheetahs, and elephants.

   Visit kopjes where wildlife like cheetahs and lions roam.

   Observe large herds of elephants.

   Midday Break:

   • Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch in the Serengeti, surrounded by wildlife.

   Afternoon:

   • Continue exploring and track the Great Migration if in season.

   Game Drive Highlights:

   Witness the migration or track predators in action.

   Watch herds of wildebeest and zebras crossing the plains.

   Evening:

   • Return to camp, unwind, and enjoy a flavorful dinner under the stars.

5. Day 5: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

   Morning:

   • After breakfast, continue exploring the Serengeti. You may witness dramatic predator-prey interactions as animals gather at water sources during the dry season.

   Afternoon:

   • Following a picnic lunch, begin your journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. 
   • Upon reaching the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, prepare to be mesmerized by the 20 km-wide caldera, home to over 20,000 animals. Stay at the Ang'ata Ngorongoro Camp, offering magnificent views of the crater’s landscape.

   Meals: Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner

6. Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

   Morning:

   • Start your final day with a memorable game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater. This unique ecosystem supports diverse wildlife, including zebras, wildebeests, the rare black rhino, hyenas, and over 500 bird species. Spend the morning exploring the crater’s floor and enjoying its remarkable wildlife.

   Afternoon:

   • After a picnic lunch within the crater, depart in the afternoon for your return journey to Arusha, arriving in the early evening to conclude your adventure.
