Trip between Kyoto and Enryaku-ji
We can observe many landscapes from the bus that takes us from Kyoto to Mount Hiei, including the cities of Kyoto and then Otsu from the mountain heights. Beautiful photos and videos in perspective!
East Pagoda and Amidado
We begin this visit of the Buddhist temple Enryaku-ji with its gate, its east pagoda and the pavilion of Buddha Amida. The gate serves as a separation between the world of humans and the world of spirits. It is the opportunity for us to "really" enter these places.
Kaidan-in Pavilion
The Kaidan-in Pavilion stands out with its brand new, immaculate red façade. We will be dazzled by this sparkling red that will make our memories and photos magnificent.
Enryaku-ji Auditorium
The Enryaku-ji auditorium is the study hall of Buddhist monks. We can visit it and feel the studious atmosphere of the place. Then we head to the big bell of the complex next to this building. We can ring it, hoping that our wishes will come true.
Konpon Chudo Main Hall
Here we are in front of the main hall, the Konpon Chudo. It is still under renovation until 2026 and this is an opportunity for us to see how a traditional Japanese building is being renovated, the subject of an exhibition. Nearby, there is the Hall for World Peace as well as the Monju-ro gate that we will then visit.
