Day 01

• Start the day with a briefing from your guide after breakfast.
• Embark on a scenic boat cruise to Kyahugye Island.
• Walk through the grasslands to spot zebras, impalas, waterbucks, and donkeys.
• Spot numerous bird species native to Lake Bunyonyi.
• Continue with a private boat ride to Bwama Island, also known as Leprosy Island.
• Visit key landmarks and learn about the island's history and ongoing projects.
• Unravel the historical significance of Punishment Island, where girls were abandoned for pregnancy before marriage.
• Conclude with a visit to a local village on the mainland to learn about the Bakiga culture.

Day 02

Community Visit, Traditional Crafts, and Hilltop Views

• Arrive at a local community and receive a warm welcome from a local female group with a traditional dance.
• Go to a homestay for delicious local food suitable for all dietary settings.
• Explore traditional crafts such as weaving, wood carving, and sewing. Learn from the locals and create something as a memorial.
• Learn about and sample the process of brewing local beer, Bushera, a staple at Bakiga functions.
• Hike for 30 minutes to the hilltop for a stunning 360° view of Lake Bunyonyi.
• Enjoy drinks and fruits while taking in the breathtaking sunset.
