Arrival and Journey to Etosha National Park
Morning
- Arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport, Windhoek.
- Meet and greet by your tour guide/driver. After a brief introduction, embark on the journey to Etosha National Park.
- En route, stop at the Okahandja Craft Market, a renowned spot for high-quality Namibian handmade crafts, including wooden sculptures, jewelry, and textiles. This is an excellent opportunity to purchase authentic souvenirs while supporting local artisans.
- Continue the scenic drive, passing small towns and landscapes typical of Namibia's central plateau.
Afternoon
- Arrive at your lodge near or inside Etosha National Park in time for a late lunch or quick refreshments.
- Head out for your first game drive in Etosha National Park.
- Explore nearby waterholes such as Okaukuejo or Ombika, where wildlife gathers in the afternoon. Spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, and possibly lions basking in the late-day sun.
- Return to the lodge for dinner.
- Enjoy evening relaxation with the serene ambiance, stargazing, or wildlife watching at a nearby waterhole, if your lodge provides one.
