Activities on Ngorongoro Day Trip safari
- You will depart from your hotel in Arusha at the Cockcrow for a lengthy but stunning drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, if lucky, you will come across occasional wildebeest, elephant or giraffe.
- On arrival at the conservation, you will check in and begin the curving into the crater.
- You will then stope at the viewing point for a spectacular if not breathtaking view of the crater’s sheer scale. The caldera floor is shadowed by the clouds, if you have a keen eye you might spot the mighty heads of zebras and wildebeest migrate about below.
- The Sun glitters off the soda lakes, and in return, it creates a stunning landscape.
- From here onwards, you will descend to the crater, home of around 100 species of mammals that moving around the caldera. Ngorongoro is the best park to spot all the big five and the black rhinoceros.
- You will also see big packs of hyenas as well as other lesser predators such as jackals and serval cats.
- Later on, enjoy a picnic lunch close to the mighty hippo pool as you take your lunch a few feet from where the mighty hippos wallow in the cool water.
- The experience is amazing; you will see the very best Ngorongoro has to offer with heads full of stunning memories. Later return to Arusha.
