The itinerary

Day 01

Johannesburg to the Panorama Route

  • We depart Johannesburg for the magnificent Panorama Route. A scenic drive takes us to the world's biggest green canyon, known as the Blyde River Canyon.
  • After a good visit to the canyon, we head over to Bourke's Luck Potholes for a leisurely stroll. We conclude the day's sightseeing with a stop at God's Window to take in the endless views.

Day 02

Full-Day Safari in Kruger National Park

  • After a good early breakfast, it's a short drive into Kruger National Park.
  • Upon entering the park, our wildlife viewing begins. Today you can look forward to a full-day game drive as we make our way from the central part of Kruger Park to the south of the park, home to the famous Big Five.

Day 03

Open Safari Vehicle Game Drive in Kruger

  • A full-day game drive awaits in an open safari vehicle.
  • Today's safari will take you into a different area of the park to explore all the fauna and flora that the Kruger area has to offer.

Day 04

Kruger to Johannesburg

  • After a good hearty breakfast, we head back to the city of Johannesburg by a different road, from where we will catch our flight to Victoria Falls the following day. A few scenic stops await along the way to Johannesburg.

Day 05

Johannesburg to Victoria Falls and Onward to Chobe

  • We fly out of Johannesburg, leaving South African borders for the next few days to visit Zimbabwe and Botswana.
  • On arrival in Victoria Falls, we take a short drive across the border into Botswana to Kasane, the gateway to Chobe National Park. We settle into our accommodation and enjoy a sundowner before a nice dinner.

Day 06

Safari and Sunset Cruise in Chobe National Park

  • After a good night's rest, an early morning start is what's needed to get ready for an action-filled day. Be enchanted on a true African safari through the wildlife-rich Chobe National Park.
  • This untouched wilderness is not only home to the Big Five, but also to the world's largest population of elephants.
  • After the day's exhilarating safari game drive, we head back to the lodge for some lunch and a short siesta.
  • Late in the afternoon, we board a safari boat to enjoy a lovely sunset cruise on the beautiful Chobe River.
  • One can look forward to the magnificent fauna and flora that make the Chobe River so spectacular.

Day 07

Victoria Falls and the Zambezi Gorge

  • We make the short drive back across the border into Zimbabwe.
  • Today is an excursion like no other, as we get to experience and enjoy "The Smoke That Thunders," the mighty Victoria Falls.
  • There is also an opportunity to take a stroll onto the Victoria Falls Bridge, as well as enjoy a beverage overlooking the Zambezi River gorge.

Day 08

Victoria Falls to Cape Town

  • Today we say farewell to beautiful Zimbabwe and then fly over to the "Mother City," Cape Town.
  • Once landed, we make our way to our lovely accommodation, where we will be spending the next two nights.
  • After all check-in formalities are completed, it's time to do a bit of sightseeing with a visit to the V&A Waterfront, where we will also conclude the day with a good dinner.

Day 09

Cape Town, Table Mountain, and the Cape Peninsula

  • Today you can look forward to exploring, experiencing, and enjoying the very best that the metropolis of Cape Town has to offer, with a visit to the top of the iconic Table Mountain by modern cable car. Once at the top, be in awe of 360-degree views of the Cape Peninsula.
  • We journey around the peninsula, taking a scenic world-class coastal drive through Chapman's Peak and stopping at viewpoints along the way for a few pictures. The journey continues to the naval town of Simon's Town, where we will visit the famous penguin colony at Boulders Beach.

Day 10

Cape Town to Hermanus

  • A scenic drive from Cape Town along the Clarence Drive Pass takes you to the southern coast and the majestic seaside town of Hermanus.
  • Here you will be welcomed by the beautiful whale bay, with its unparalleled beauty. You can also look forward to the lovely town of Hermanus, where we will try our luck with a bit of whale spotting.

Day 11

Cape Agulhas, Struisbaai, and Surrounding Villages

  • With a refreshing start to the day and breathtaking views of the whale bay, we make our way further south to the most southerly point on the African continent, Cape Agulhas.
  • Picturesque views and a striking lighthouse await.
  • This is also the very point where the Indian Ocean and Atlantic Ocean come together. The day will also be spent exploring the surrounding towns and villages that make this area so special.

Day 12

Historic Stellenbosch and the Cape Winelands

  • Today we explore, taste, and enjoy the historic Stellenbosch Winelands. Be enchanted by the town's Cape Dutch-style buildings and oak-tree-lined streets.
  • We visit beautiful vineyards, where each farm, unique in its own way, showcases true South African wines. The highlight of the day will tickle your taste buds with a full wine and food experience.
