Sri Mariamman Temple

Singapore's oldest Hindu temple, founded in 1827 by Naraina Pillai, a prominent figure in Singapore's Indian community, and recognised as a National Monument for its architectural and historical significance. The elaborately painted gopuram tower is one of the most striking sights in Chinatown.

Ann Siang Hill

Once a bustling business hub for Chinese immigrants, Ann Siang Hill retains its historical and architectural charm through beautifully restored terrace shophouses, that also housed clan associations and secret societies long gone.

Maxwell Food Centre

Feast on 9-10 local dishes at one of Singapore’s famous hawker centres, recommended by your guide.

Buddha Tooth Relic Temple

Built in the style of Tang Dynasty architecture, this is one of Southeast Asia's most significant Mahayana Buddhist sites. The sacred relic housed within draws pilgrims from across the region. On the way, your guide will take you past Sago Lane, once known as the "street of the dead," where the elderly came to spend their final days under the care of clan associations.

Chinatown Complex

A repository of architectural heritage and living hawker culture. The complex was built to resettle the street hawkers who once pushed carts through Chinatown's congested roads, preserving the neighbourhood's food character without losing its soul. Today it remains one of the best places in Singapore to eat like a local.

Hidden Alleys, Murals & Nanyang Old Coffee

Duck into the back lanes, past the murals of Yip Yew Chong, whose life-size street paintings capture scenes of old Singapore with extraordinary detail. The stop ends at Nanyang Old Coffee, a traditional kopitiam, where coffee beans are still roasted and ground in the old way.
