Day 01

Arrival in Uganda and Transfer Arrangements

  • Arrival in Uganda: On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your guide or company representative. Depending on your arrival time, you will be transferred directly to your hotel or stay the night in Kampala. If arriving the night before, rest at one of the following accommodations:

Luxury: Kampala Serena Hotel.

Mid-range: Cassia Lodge or Hotel Africana.

Budget: Airport Guest House or Emmaus Guest House Muyenga.

Day 02

Scenic Drive to Bwindi via the Equator

  • Morning Drive to Bwindi: After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala at approximately 8:45 AM. Begin the scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Mbarara. Along the way, you will stop at the Equator crossing for photos and a memorable experience standing in both hemispheres.

  • Lunch Break: Continue the drive with a lunch stop at Agip Motel, where you will enjoy a delicious meal before proceeding to Bwindi.

  • Arrival at Bwindi: As you approach Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you will be surrounded by stunning landscapes, lush green hills, and the dense forest for which the park is known. Upon arrival in the late afternoon, check in at your accommodation and relax before dinner. Depending on your chosen lodging, you can enjoy the following options:

Luxury: Mahogany Springs Lodge or Buhoma Lodge.

Mid-range: Silverback Lodge or The Haven Lodge Buhoma.

Budget: Ride four a Woman or Buhoma Community Banda's.

Day 03

Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience

  • Gorilla Trekking: After breakfast, prepare for the highlight of your trip: gorilla trekking. You will meet at the park headquarters for a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Be sure to bring comfortable hiking gear, including sturdy shoes, a rain jacket, sunscreen, and insect repellent, as you trek into the jungle. The trek can last anywhere from 2 to 8 hours, depending on where the gorillas are located, but the effort is always worth it. Once you find the gorillas, you will observe them in their natural habitat for one unforgettable hour.

  • Village Walk & Cultural Experience: After your trek, you may have the chance to participate in a Batwa cultural experience. Visit a local village and engage with the Batwa people, Uganda's indigenous forest dwellers, to learn about their way of life, culture, and history as former forest inhabitants. It is an enriching cultural experience that provides insight into the traditions of this fascinating group of people.

  • Evening at the Lodge: Return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation after a day of thrilling wildlife encounters and cultural exploration.

Day 04

Return Journey to Kampala or Entebbe

  • Morning Breakfast: Enjoy a final breakfast at your lodge, check out, and start your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe. The drive offers stunning views of the Kasese-Fort Portal Road, with scenic landscapes and the famous Mountains of the Moon in the distance.

  • Lunch Break: Stop for lunch en route while taking in more of Uganda's beautiful countryside.

  • Arrival in Kampala/Entebbe: You will arrive in Kampala or Entebbe in the afternoon, where you will be dropped off at your place of residence or Entebbe Airport for your onward flight.

Know before you go

  • Once a booking has been confirmed, clients will receive a detailed invoice outlining all the necessary information related to their reservation. Along with the invoice, a service provider-client contract agreement will also be provided for signing. This contract will outline the terms and conditions of the services provided, ensuring mutual understanding between both parties.
  • To secure the booking, a deposit of 50% of the total itinerary cost is required. Clients also have the option to pay the full amount upfront if they prefer to settle the entire balance in advance.
  • The remaining balance, which amounts to 50% of the total cost, must be paid upon arrival, before the commencement of the tour. This payment ensures that the tour can begin without any delays or complications. We kindly request that clients settle the remaining balance in full prior to the start of the tour to ensure a smooth and seamless experience.
