Ho Chi Minh to Mỹ Tho, Bến Tre and Can Tho
7:30 - 8:30 am: Our guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby in District 1 or from our office at 203 De Tham Street, District 1.
On the way, visit Vĩnh Tràng Pagoda, the biggest pagoda in the Mekong Delta.
Upon arrival in Mỹ Tho, take a boat trip along the Mekong River, where you can see fish cages and floating houses on the river. The boat then takes you into a small canal, where you can escape the busy town, before continuing to a coconut island in Mỹ Tho.
Stop at a local family home to enjoy tropical fruit and taste honey tea and honey wine.
Visit a village coconut candy shop to learn how the candy is made and see handicrafts created from coconut trees. Take a walk through the village and admire the fruits, flowers, trees, local houses, children, and people.
Travel to the music spot by tram or horse-drawn carriage. Here, you will hear the melodies of Southern singers, a type of art and culture of the Mekong people.
Enjoy a three-leaf canoe ride through the small creeks for about 15 minutes.
Lunch is served as a set menu with special Vietnamese food. Afterwards, continue walking or sailing to enjoy the local way of life.
After lunch, relax, go for a walk, or cycle around the area. We will then travel back to the river ferry and head to Can Tho city.
