Every year in early August, tribes from across Enga Province in the remote Highlands of Papua New Guinea gather in their thousands to showcase their ancient traditional culture - costumes, dances, chants, rituals, and skills - and celebrate their culture's resilience in the face of modern civilization. This 7-day journey includes time in Port Moresby, travel to Wabag via Mt Hagen, and three days at the Enga Cultural Show 2025. The Enga Cultural Show is one of the most authentic displays of ancient indigenous traditional cultures that you will find anywhere in the world.

Every year in early August, tribes from across Enga Province in the remote Highlands of Papua New Guinea gather in their thousands to showcase their ancient traditional culture - costumes, dances, chants, rituals, and skills - and celebrate their culture's resilience in the face of modern civilization.

Day 01

Port Moresby Arrival, Wabag Journey, and Enga Show Experience

Day 1 - Date: 13th August (Wednesday)

Arrive in Port Moresby and transfer to your hotel (TBA). In the afternoon, enjoy sightseeing around Port Moresby, the capital city of Papua New Guinea. Meals are not included.

Day 2 - Date: 14th August (Thursday)

Depart for Mt Hagen Airport in the morning. After pickup, continue by road transfer to Wabag Town and stay overnight. Local meals are included.

Overnight at Sirunki Lodge.

Day 3 - Date: 15th August (Friday)

Attend Day 1 of the Enga Show 2025. Enjoy photography sessions, interviews, face painting, and more, with 50 groups from all regions of Papua New Guinea performing at the show. Two full days are spent at the Enga Show 2025, world famous for its color, culture, and vibrancy. It is the biggest Sing-Sing of the year, with up to 150 groups present, making it a truly spectacular event. The diversity of the coastal, lowland, and highlands sing-sing groups reflects the incredible diversity of Papua New Guinea's landscape, creating an unforgettable experience. There is also a very interesting agricultural show and music festival.

Day 4 - Date: 16th August (Saturday)

Attend Day 2 of the Enga Show 2025. Continue with photography sessions, interviews, face painting, and more, with 50 groups from all regions of Papua New Guinea performing at the show.

Meals are not included, and accommodation in standard rooms (TBA) is included.

Excess pass with 2 water bottles issued.

Overnight at Sirunki Lodge.

Day 5 - Date: 17th August (Sunday)

Attend Day 3 of the Enga Show 2025. Continue with photography sessions, interviews, face painting, and more, with 50 groups from all regions of Papua New Guinea performing at the show.

Meals are not included, and accommodation in standard rooms is included.

Excess pass with 2 water bottles issued.

Overnight at Sirunki Lodge.

Day 6 - Date: 18th August (Monday)

Morning air transfer to Port Moresby, followed by a transfer to your hotel (TBA).

In the afternoon, enjoy a tour of Port Moresby City.

Accommodation and all meals are not included.

Day 7 - Date: 19th August (Tuesday)

Morning fly out to Port Moresby City.

End of tour.
