Arrival in Islamabad

Flight to Skardu and Explore Shigar

  • Transfer to Islamabad Airport.
  • Take the morning flight to Skardu.
  • Your guide will pick you up at Skardu Airport.
  • Visit Shigar Fort and the Sarfaranga Cold Desert.
  • You will have time to do adventure activities in the cold desert.
  • Stay in Skardu/Shigar.

Manthoka Waterfall and Sunset Views of Skardu

  • Drive to Manthoka Waterfall.
  • Visit Manthoka Waterfall.
  • Return to Skardu by late afternoon.
  • Optional hike to Kharpocho Fort at sunset to get aerial views of beautiful Skardu.
  • Transfer to the hotel.
  • Stay in Skardu/Shigar.

Culture and Heritage in Central Hunza

Khunjerab Pass and Khunjerab National Park

  • Take a morning road trip to Khunjerab Pass - the world's highest border connecting Pakistan and China at 4600 m.
  • You may see the rare Karakoram ibex and other animals in Khunjerab National Park.
  • Return to Hunza by evening.
  • Transfer to the hotel near Attabad Lake in Upper Hunza.
  • Overnight stay in Hunza.

Attabad Lake and Upper Hunza Wonders

  • Optional hike to Passu Glacier viewpoint.
  • Overnight stay in Hunza.

Serenity of Naltar Valley

  • Check out from the hotel.
  • Drive to Naltar Valley.

Journey to Fairy Meadows

  • Check out from the hotel early after breakfast.
  • Road trip to Raikot Bridge (2.5 hours).
  • Take a 1.5-hour jeep ride to Tattu Village.
  • Continue with a 3-hour hike to Fairy Meadows.
  • You may use a horse if the trek is not your cup of tea, though the trek is doable.
  • Spend the evening watching Nanga Parbat, 8126 m, the 9th-highest peak in the world.
  • Stay in wooden huts or camp - your choice.

Max altitude: 3200 m at Fairy Meadows

Walking time: 3-4 hours of hiking

Driving time: 1 hour on the highway and 1.5 hours by jeep

Distance covered: 75 km on the highway and 17 km by jeep

Day 11

Hike to Nanga Parbat Base Camp

  • Day hike to Nanga Parbat Base Camp and return.
  • Start hiking through the forest and beautiful water streams.
  • Reach Beyal Camp in an hour and a half.
  • Trek further to the viewpoint and to the German Base Camp.
  • Return to Fairy Meadows by sunset.
  • Stay in Fairy Meadows.

Note: The trek is easily doable for anyone with a basic fitness level. However, horses are also available here if trekking is not your cup of tea. There are also multiple viewpoints of Nanga Parbat, so the Base Camp trek is always optional.

Day 12

Return to Gilgit via Kargah Buddha

  • Return drive to Gilgit by afternoon.
  • Transfer to the hotel.

Fly to Islamabad and City Tour

  • Fly to Islamabad from Gilgit (1 hour).
