Day 01
Full-Day Chobe Safari from Livingstone
Morning:
06:00 AM - Departure from Livingstone:
- You will be picked up from your accommodation at Kasuda Apartments and transferred to the Zambia-Botswana border, a drive of approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
- After completing border formalities, including visas and passport control, you will cross into Botswana and continue to Chobe National Park.
09:00 AM - Game Drive in Chobe National Park:
- Upon arrival at Chobe National Park, you will begin your morning game drive with a professional guide. Chobe is renowned for its large elephant population and diverse wildlife, so you can expect to see herds of elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, and a variety of bird species.
- The game drive takes you through the park's beautiful landscape, offering plenty of opportunities for photography and wildlife sightings.
Midday:
- 12:30 PM - Lunch at a Lodge or Picnic:
- After the morning drive, enjoy a delicious lunch at one of the lodges in or near the park, or as a picnic in a designated area within Chobe.
- This gives you a chance to relax and refresh before heading out for the afternoon activities.
Afternoon:
- 02:00 PM - Chobe River Boat Cruise:
- After lunch, you will enjoy a boat cruise along the Chobe River, where you can relax and take in the stunning scenery. The river is teeming with wildlife, and you may see elephants, crocodiles, hippos, and various bird species along the water's edge.
- The boat cruise offers a unique perspective of the wildlife and the park's environment, as well as excellent opportunities for photography.
- 04:00 PM - Return Game Drive (Optional):
- If time permits, some tours include a short afternoon game drive to spot any wildlife you may have missed earlier in the day or to visit a different part of the park.
Late Afternoon:
- 05:30 PM - Departure from Chobe:
- After the afternoon boat cruise and optional game drive, you will begin your return journey to Livingstone, crossing back into Zambia.
07:00 PM - Arrival in Livingstone:
- After the border crossing, you will be transferred back to your accommodation at Kasuda Apartments in Livingstone, arriving in the early evening.
