5-Day Tanzania Wildlife Safari with Materuni Waterfall and Chemka

• After breakfast, your adventure begins. The first stop is Arusha town for any last-minute shopping before heading to Tarangire National Park for an exciting game drive with a picnic lunch.
• Famous for its massive elephant population and iconic baobab trees, Tarangire is the heart of an annual migration that includes 3,000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeests, and 30,000 zebras.
• You'll also have a chance to spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, ostriches, and warthogs as you explore the acacia-dotted savannah.
• Your safari guide will ensure a unique experience by avoiding crowded areas and providing fascinating insights about the park. A highlight of the day will be the Tarangire River, where animals gather to drink and predators often hunt. After an unforgettable day, your guide will take you to your lodge for the evening.

• After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via the beautiful high-altitude farmlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
• Leaving the highlands behind, you will reach the Ngorongoro gate, where you will stop for a short briefing about the area and enjoy taking pictures at the gate. You will then continue to the crater viewpoint for another stop to enjoy a great view of Ngorongoro Crater, along with an explanation from your safari guide and more time for photos.
• You will then proceed with the safari and descend into the heart of wild Africa - the Serengeti - with its endless plains rolling as far as the eye can see.
• In the central area of the park, known as the Seronera area, you will explore one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. Along with the Seronera River, which provides a valuable source of water to this area, it attracts fauna well representative of most Serengeti species. Overnight drive to Seronera camp.

• Wake up early in the morning, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, and then leave with a packed breakfast so you will not stay hungry and can enjoy your game drive in comfort. You will have a great chance to see hunting, because predators are more active during the night and early morning, and they hunt a lot at that time. You will drive out of central Serengeti to eastern Serengeti, looking for cheetahs, lions on the rocks, and many other animals, while witnessing the spectacular sunrise over the Serengeti.
• The game drive will continue until the early afternoon.
• Either return to your accommodation for a hot lunch or take a packed lunch with you.
• Then return through the Serengeti, pack all your belongings, and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a game drive en route, seeing more lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, and hyenas.

• After breakfast, your safari guide will drive you directly to Ngorongoro Crater, where you will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife.
• Supported by a year-round supply of water and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to a wide variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, elk, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants.
• Another big draw of this scenic national park is its dense population of predators, which includes lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot.
• We will visit Lake Magadi, a large shallow alkaline lake in the southwest corner, which is one of the main features of the crater.
• Large numbers of flamingos, hippos, and other waterfowl can usually be seen here, and then your safari guide will drive to Engutoku Tok for a short walking safari close to the hippo pool.

• We will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and drive to Materuni Waterfall. You will walk at 2,500 meters above sea level with a local safari guide. Along the way, you will explore the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, with birds, chameleons, coffee, and banana trees all around you. Once you reach the waterfall, you may swim in the pools with clean water.
• Later, walk back to the village for the coffee tour, and then your safari guide will drive you to Chemka Hot Springs. Here, you will swim in a natural pool with clean water and small fish inside the pool. Don't forget your swimming clothes.
• While here, you will enjoy drinks as you swim until evening, and later we will drive back to Arusha or drop you at Kilimanjaro Airport. Here will be the end of our safari.
