The itinerary

Day 01

Travel from Addis Ababa to Bahir Dar

Travel by flight or bus from Addis Ababa to Bahir Dar.
Upon arrival, transfer to Blue Nile Hotel, a decent hotel in the centre of Bahir Dar.

Stay at Blue Nile Hotel for 2 nights.

Day 02

Lake Tana, Bahir Dar City Tour, and Blue Nile Falls

Visit the Lake Tana monasteries, including 3 ancient churches, followed by a city tour of Emperor Haile Selassie Palace.
Stop for lunch at Woyto village.
Visit a traditional restaurant, dessert lodge, or lakeshore for an open-air view of Lake Tana.
Drive 30 km to the Blue Nile Falls.
Return to Blue Nile Hotel for the night.
