Day 01

Full-Day Discovery of Old and Modern Mosul

Mosul has two parts, the old and the modern, separated by the Tigris River and five bridges. During our tour, we will explore both areas.
In the old part:
- The Grand Mosque of Mosul (formerly Saddam Mosque)
- The traditional spice bazaar
- The fish bazaar
- The old town, including the damaged area with traces of the ISIS war
- Al-Masfi Mosque
- The heritage house of Mosul
- The historical castle Bashtabyia, dating back 1004 years
- Various museums, such as the Baytna Foundation
- Al-Nouri Mosque, where the ISIS caliphate was declared in 2014, aged 850 years
- Al Hadba Minaret
- Churches, such as Al-Tahira and the Clock Church
In the modern part:
- The University of Mosul market
- The forest area, featuring a boat tour on the Tigris River
- Experience traditional Mosuli cuisine and explore the local way of life
