Samarkand to the Six Lakes of Tajikistan
This one-day trip will give you picturesque views and a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the culture of two neighbouring peoples - Uzbeks and Tajiks. You will visit six of the seven mountain lakes, each of which amazes with its unique shade and atmosphere.
Tour program
- 09:00 - Departure from Samarkand.
- We will begin the journey through the village of Jar Tepa. On the way, you will hear stories about local life and the differences between the cultures of the Uzbeks and Tajiks.
- 10:00 - Crossing the border with Tajikistan.
- Border formalities take about 40 minutes. After that, we will visit a traditional Tajik market, where you can feel the authentic atmosphere of oriental trade.
- 12:00 - Lunch in national style.
- A delicious stop at a restaurant with Asian cuisine to recharge your batteries before the trip to the lakes.
- 12:30-17:30 - Excursion to six lakes.
- Nezhigon (1640 m): the "eyelash" of the mountains, with turquoise waters.
- Soya (1740 m): "shadow", with reflections of nature on the water's surface.
- Gushor (1770 m): a lake with a uniquely calm atmosphere.
- Nofin (1820 m): known for its rich ultramarine colour.
- Khurdak (1870 m): a small lake, but with incredible charm.
- Marguzor (2140 m): the largest lake, with landscapes reminiscent of a painting.
- The seventh lake, Khazorchashma, is located at an altitude of 2332 m. It is difficult to access and can only be reached by jeep, so it is not included in the program.
- 17:30 - Dinner in Tajikistan.
- We will stop for dinner to discuss impressions and enjoy local cuisine.
- 18:00 - Return across the border.
- After completing border formalities, we will head back to Samarkand.
- 20:00 - Arrival in Samarkand.
