Sunset Walk Through Samarkand's Timurid Landmarks

• During this trip, we will share a lot of information about the city of Samarkand, and you will be amazed by the monuments built during the time of Amir Temur.
• On this walking tour of the city, you will see:
  • Gur-Emir Mausoleum, where Amir Temur is buried with his sons and grandson;
  • Registan Square, the beating heart of both the ancient and modern city;
  • Bibi-Khanym Mosque, named for Amir Temur's favorite wife;
  • Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis, where you will find tombs dating back to as early as the 11th century; and
  • Ulugbek Observatory, where Amir Temur's grandson calculated the length of a year with an error of only 25 seconds - more accurate than Nicolaus Copernicus, who was off by 30 seconds.
