Know before you go

When is the favorable time to visit Tanzania?

Tanzania is a one-stop center for tourism in East Africa, endowed with many national parks, some of which are among the world's leading destinations, such as Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Zanzibar Island.

When you decide to visit this beautiful country, you will have multiple options on where exactly to spend your holiday.

You may choose to challenge yourself with a five- to seven-day Mount Kilimanjaro climbing adventure, go on safari for wildlife game drives, guided walking tours, or a photography safari with multiple-day options. If you are a beach fan, Zanzibar Archipelago offers endless white-sand beaches and several activities such as diving, snorkeling, beach fires, boat cruising, and fishing.

Therefore, while planning your visit, bear in mind that you can do climbing, safari, beach, or both. The decision to take one or all depends on the client's preference, duration of stay in Tanzania, and budget.

The core question here is: when exactly should you visit these beautiful destinations?

The answer is not straightforward. Not every season is a good time for climbing or safari. Wet conditions do not always favor climbing, and if you want to have a successful mountain climbing experience, you must do it in the dry season.

During the rainy season, parks are greener and, of course, they look great, but you will not be able to spot many animals due to the long grass. While on game drives, you may experience several breakdowns and safari trucks or jeeps getting stuck due to slippery roads and mud.

We have the best experience in knowing and anticipating the weather to make sure that you have the best journey - we shall indicate the best time of the year when every condition is favorable. When looking for the best date to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, many people say that January to February and August to September are the best periods for climbing; however, life has changed - the weather has completely changed.
