Day 01

From Tbilisi to Omalo via Gombori and Abano Pass

  • Pick up from your accommodation in Tbilisi between 7:00 and 7:30 am.
  • Drive from Tbilisi to Gombori Pass, which offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
  • Continue to Gombori Mountain in the direction of the village of Pshaveli, from where you will enter the beautiful valley of the Stori River and ascend to Abano Pass at an altitude of 2826 m.
  • Visit the villages of Shenako, Diklo, and Omalo.
  • Upon arrival in Omalo, check in to the guesthouse and enjoy a traditional Georgian meal.

Day 02

Pirikiti Alazani Valley and Tushetian Tower Villages

  • Visit Dano, Dartlo, Chesho, Kvavlo, Parsma, Girevi, and the Keselo Towers in Upper Omalo.
  • Along the way, see traditional Tushetian architecture, including fortified towers called "Koshkebi" that were used for protection in centuries past.
  • Stop for a bite to eat on the way.
  • Return to Omalo for dinner and an overnight stay.

Gometsri Valley, Bochorna, and Return to Tbilisi

  • Travel through the Gometsri Valley to Bochorna - the highest village in Europe at 2345 m - then continue to Dochu, Que, Abano Pass, and Alaverdi Monastery.
  • Wake up early to hike to the nearby villages of Bochorma and Dartlo, which are located in beautiful alpine meadows.
  • Explore Alaverdi Monastery.
  • Return to Tbilisi, ending the Tusheti tour.
