Day 01
Ho Chi Minh City to the Cu Chi Tunnels
- 7:00 - 7:30 am: You will be picked up from your accommodation in Ho Chi Minh City in the morning and board a comfortable minivan.
- Then, head to the Cu Chi Tunnels and hear about the Vietnamese resistance to the US forces. Watch an introductory video about how the tunnels were made and how Vietnamese people survived in the harsh wartime conditions.
- Spend time exploring the tunnel system and other military facilities such as weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers, which helped those living inside the tunnels meet their basic needs.
- There are also many hidden trapdoors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels, used for security purposes during the war.
- Afterward, special tea and cassava - guerrilla food during the war - will be served. Have lunch at a local restaurant.
