Day 01

Pickup in Yogyakarta and Journey to Mount Bromo

• Start your adventure with pickup from your accommodation in Yogyakarta in the morning and travel to Mount Bromo.
• Enjoy beautiful landscapes along the way while your friendly driver navigates the notorious Indonesian traffic.
• Once you've settled into your accommodation in Bromo, enjoy some free time to explore the area and prepare for tomorrow's sunrise.

Day 02

Mount Bromo Sunrise and Transfer to Bondowoso

• Rise early to get ready for a truly unforgettable experience as you witness the magical sunrise views of Mount Bromo, the most popular volcano in Indonesia.
• After exploring Mount Bromo, head back to the hotel to enjoy breakfast before traveling to Bondowoso City, where your accommodation for the Ijen Crater tour is located.

Day 03

Midnight Departure and Hike to Ijen Crater

• Today, your tour starts in the middle of the night as you head to Ijen Crater.
• Hike up to the top of Ijen Crater on a 90 to 120-minute trek.
• From the crater rim, be greeted by breathtaking views overlooking the surrounding scenery.
• On a lucky day, you can witness the fascinating blue flames rising from inside the crater.
• After exploring Ijen, you will be dropped off at Ketapang Port.

• Every first day of the month, Mount Ijen is closed.
• The Ijen blue flame is not guaranteed until further notice.
• From Yogyakarta to Bromo it is 426 km (5-6 hours of driving), from Bromo to Bondowoso it is 142 km (4 hours of driving), and from Bondowoso to Ijen it is 66 km (2 hours of driving).
• The tour schedule is fairly tight.
