Explore the Legendary Cu Chi Tunnels
- Tour options: morning or afternoon.
- At 7:30 - 8:00 am (12:45 - 1:00 pm), our car and tour guide will pick you up from your hotel area in District 1. Start your tour to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels.
- Just 70 km northwest of Saigon, the Cu Chi area lies at the end of the Ho Chi Minh Trail and served as the base from which Vietnamese guerrilla soldiers attacked Sai Gon.
- The fighters of Cu Chi took the war underground by developing a network of tunnels that stretched as far as Cambodia, including meeting rooms, kitchens, and ventilation systems. These tunnels served as an effective network for engaging in guerrilla warfare against U.S. troops.
- Before exploring the tunnels, you will watch an introductory video about how the tunnels were made and how Vietnamese people survived the harsh conditions of wartime.
- Then, spend your time exploring the remaining areas and tunnel system, including special living areas with kitchens and bedrooms, alongside other military facilities such as weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers, helping those who lived inside the tunnels meet their basic needs.
- During the war, many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps were also placed within the maze-like tunnels for security purposes.
- Afterward, special tea and cassava (the guerrillas' food during the war) will be served.
- On the way back, we will drop you off at your hotel in District 1.
