Day 01

Visit La Fondation Louis Vuitton

• From the meeting point in front of the Fondation, we will visit it.
• Then we stroll or ride to Centre Pompidou.

Outdoor Visit to Centre Pompidou

• After visiting the ancient La Fondation Louis Vuitton, we get to the other side of the Seine and visit Le Centre Pompidou (Beaubourg) outdoors, and then the new Fondation Louis Vuitton.

• The Fondation Louis Vuitton, the origin of this glass ship, promises to take you on a voyage through contemporary and modern art. An architectural masterpiece opened in October 2014, the Louis Vuitton Fondation is a private cultural initiative dedicated to art and artists. Commissioned by Bernard Arnault, the building was designed by the Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry. Tucked away in the Jardin d'Acclimatation, one of the most beautiful gardens in Paris, these two men teamed up to create this magnificent site, an icon of the 21st century.
• Inaugurated on 31 January 1977, the Centre Pompidou welcomed 3,273,867 visitors in 2019, an average of 10,595 visits per day. It houses important galleries for temporary exhibitions, theatres and cinemas, and the Public Information Library (BPI), the first public reading library in Europe. On either side of the Piazza, two annex buildings house the Institute for Research and Coordination of Acoustics and Music (IRCAM) and the Brancusi workshop.
