Continue to Tozeur and the Chebika Oasis, where a canyon trek and waterfall add a scenic finish to the adventure.

Then head into the Sahara, 25 km deep into the desert, to spend the night in a private camp with a campfire, dinner, and a private tent.

Day by day

The itinerary

Day 01

El Jem, Matmata, Douz and Sahara Camp

Stop for one hour in El Jem to visit the Roman Colosseum.
Then visit Matmata and its Berber caves, meet a Berber family, and discover their home. You will also see the Star Wars site in Matmata and have lunch in an underground cave.
Continue to Douz, where you can ride camels or a quad bike.
Then head into the Sahara, 25 km deep into the desert, to spend the night in a private camp with a campfire, dinner, and a private tent.

Day 02

Salt Lake, Tozeur and Chebika Oasis

Visit the big flat salt lake, a place where you can make many stops.
Explore the Médina of Tozeur.
Continue to the Oasis of Chebika for a 30-minute trek in the canyon, then visit the waterfall of Temegza.
After lunch, head north.
Drop-off in Hammamet, Tunis, or Sousse.
Visit the Berber caves.

Additional activities are available in Douz before heading to your private camp.
