Itinerary

Day 1- Semera to Erta Ale
- Morning: Depart from Semera in a 4x4 convoy towards Erta Ale.
- Afternoon: stop for lunch en route and continue through the desert landscape.
- Evening: arrive at the base camp near the Erta Ale and begin 30 30-minute hike to the volcano summit.
- Night: Explore the active volcano, and then camp overnight near the crater under the stars.

Day 2 Erta Ale to Humed Ela
- After breakfast, start driving to Humed Ela in the early morning, passing through the stunning volcanic landscapes.
- Afternoon: arrive at Humed Ela and visit the salt flats of Lake Asale.
- Evening: watch a spectacular sunset over slat plains.
- Night: camp at Humed Ela villages.

Day 3 Humed Ela to Mekelle
- In the morning, explore Dallol's colourful sulfur geothermal landscape, sulfur springs and salt formations.
- Continue a journey to Mekelle, with a scenic stop en route.
- Afternoon: arrive in Mekelle and fly back to Addis Ababa
