Visit Lake Bled and its enchanting island by traditional pletna boat, then explore Bled Castle perched high above the lake for great photo opportunities. Continue through the Julian Alps to Kranjska Gora and alpine Lake Jasna before crossing the 1,611 m high Vršič Pass into the picturesque wilderness of the Soča River Valley. Hike to the source of the Soča River and stay in the charming town of Bovec. On the second day, you can choose an optional white-water rafting adventure on the Soča River before lunch, relaxation in Bovec, and the return to Ljubljana.

After that, we will visit Bled Castle, sitting on a rock high above the lake and offering great photo opportunities.

The itinerary

Day 01

Ljubljana, Lake Bled, Triglav National Park and Soča Valley

We will pick you up in Ljubljana and take you on this exhilarating tour through the Julian Alps and Triglav National Park.
Our first stop is Lake Bled, with its island and small church in the middle. You can visit the island on a traditional pletna boat.
After that, we will visit Bled Castle, sitting on a rock high above the lake and offering great photo opportunities. This beautiful alpine lake, with an island in the middle and a medieval castle perched above it, is one of Slovenia's most iconic sights.
From Bled, we proceed to Kranjska Gora, a small alpine town in the Julian Alps within Triglav National Park, which turns into a ski resort in winter.
We will visit the small alpine Lake Jasna and cross the 1,611 m high Vršič Pass.
Next, we step into the gorgeous wilderness of the Soča River Valley. We will go for a short hike to the source of the Soča River and then drive to the small town of Bovec.
The next day, you can optionally enjoy some adrenaline-filled white-water rafting on the Soča River, have lunch, relax in picturesque Bovec, and return to Ljubljana in the afternoon.
