Day 01

Postojna Cave, Predjama Castle, and Piran

• Visit the huge cave system of Postojna Cave, with its magnificent stalactites and stalagmites. The visit lasts one and a half hours. First, you sit on a small train and ride through the cave, then you walk for half an hour, and finally take the train again to the exit. The cave was carved out by the Pivka River over millions of years.
• We will then proceed to the fascinating Predjama Castle, the biggest cave castle in the world, with a long and sometimes funny history described in local legends.
• We will also visit the beautiful coastal town of Piran, known as "Little Venice".
