Day 01

Arrival in Tirana and City Discovery

Arrival at Tirana Airport, preferably early in the morning.
Drive from Tirana Airport to the city.
Enjoy a walking tour of Tirana, presenting its history, changes, and development over time.
Visit Bunk'art 2, one of the anti-atomic bunkers built during communism. Today, it has been transformed into a museum that reveals the reality, achievements, and suffering of the Albanian people during that period.

Day 02

Berat, the City of 1001 Windows

Berat - the city of 1001 windows - is a UNESCO site.

Drive through the Dumrea region, enjoying the beauty of Albanian nature, agriculture, and lakes.
Arrival in Berat. Visit the castle and the Onufri Museum, which is dedicated to Byzantine art and iconography in Albania.
Traditional lunch at a local restaurant.
Visit the lower part of the town, including the Mangalem neighborhood and Gorica Bridge.
Drive to Gjirokaster.
Check in at the hotel and receive suggestions for dinner.

Day 03

Gjirokaster, the Ottoman City of Stone

Gjirokaster - the Ottoman city of stone - is a UNESCO site.

Visit Argjiro Castle, one of the biggest and best-preserved castles in Albania, which includes the largest gun museum from WWI and WWII.
Visit Skenduli House and learn more about local life and traditions in one of the oldest houses, dating back to 1700.
Traditional lunch.
Free afternoon to explore the Grand Bazaar on your own, with suggestions for dinner.
Overnight in Gjirokaster.

Day 04

Butrint and Seaside Sarandë

Drive from Gjirokaster to Butrint.
Travel through wild nature, high mountains, and an area of old caravan paths to reach Butrint, the ancient city. It is one of the most important archaeological sites in the south of Albania, where the development of the city can be distinguished in layers from the 6th century B.C. to the 18th century.
Lunch in Sarandë.
A short walking tour will present the history of the town. Then enjoy free time in the city, which is well known as one of the top 10 vacation destinations in Albania and as the city of 300 days of sun per year.

Overnight in Sarandë. Check in at the hotel and receive suggestions for dinner.

Transfer to Tirana Airport

It is necessary to book the flight with an early arrival on the first day and a late departure on the last day.
Most of the walking parts in Berat, Gjirokaster, and Butrint will be on cobblestone roads, so non-slippery shoes are necessary.
