The itinerary

Day 01

Mount Ijen Blue Flame Trek

• 20:00 (Bali Time): Pick up from your hotel in the Bali area and head to Gilimanuk Port.
• 23:30: Arrive at Gilimanuk Port and head to Java Island by ferry.
• 00:30: Arrive in Java and head to the Mount Ijen camping ground.
• 01:30: Arrive at the Mount Ijen camping ground and have a coffee break.
• 02:00: Hike Mount Ijen (it takes at least 1.5 to 2 hours).
• 03:30: Witness the Blue Flame and sulfur mining (the Blue Flame cannot be seen once the sun rises).
• 05:00: Sunrise on Mount Ijen.
• 06:00: Descend from Mount Ijen.
• 08:00: Breakfast time.
• 09:00 - 15:30: Drive to the Tumpak Sewu area and check in to a hotel.

Day 02

Tumpak Sewu Waterfall Excursion

• 07:00: Have breakfast.
• 08:00: Drive to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall.
• 08:30: Arrive at Tumpak Sewu Waterfall.
• 08:45: Enjoy Tumpak Sewu Waterfall.
• 12:30: Drive to the hotel in the Mount Bromo area.
• 16:00: Check in and have a rest.

Day 03

King Kong Hill Sunrise and Mount Bromo

• 03:00: Wake up and hop on a 4WD jeep, then make your way to King Kong Hill viewpoint to catch the sunrise.
• 04:00: Take a break and enjoy your coffee while you await the sunrise.
• 04:30: Sunrise at King Kong Hill viewpoint.
• 06:00: Drive to Mount Bromo Crater.
• 06:30: Climb the volcano crater and enjoy the Mount Bromo Crater view.
• 08:00: Visit the Whispering Sand and Luhur Temple.
• 08:30: Head to a local restaurant.
• 09:00: Breakfast time.
• 10:00: Drive to Surabaya, Malang, or Bali.
• Note: It takes 2 hours to drive from Bromo to the Malang/Surabaya area. It takes 9 hours to drive from Bromo to the Bali area.

Know before you go

• You can take your luggage with you during the trip. No need to worry about leaving it behind or carrying it separately. Our guide will accompany you as you climb Bromo, while our driver safely guards your luggage inside the car.
• When it comes time for drop-off, there are a few options available depending on your plans. We can drop you off anywhere within the Surabaya/Malang area or Bali, as stated in this tour program.
• If you want to arrive in Bali earlier, we recommend taking a flight from Juanda International Airport in Surabaya to Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar.
