Day 01

Overnight Journey and Mount Ijen Blue Flame Trek

  • 20:00 (Bali Time): Pick-up from the Bali area and head to Gilimanuk Port.
  • 00:00: Arrive at Gilimanuk Port and cross to Java Island by ferry.
  • 00:30: Arrive in Java and continue to Paltuding camping ground.
  • 01:30: Arrive at Mount Ijen and enjoy a coffee break.
  • 02:00: Begin the Mount Ijen climb, which takes at least 1.5 to 2 hours.
  • 03:30: Witness the Blue Flame and sulfur mining. The blue flame cannot be seen once the sun rises, so the climb must begin at midnight.
  • 05:00: Watch the sunrise from Mount Ijen.
  • 06:00: Descend from Mount Ijen.
  • 08:00: Enjoy a simple breakfast at a local restaurant.
  • 09:00: Drive back to Ketapang Port.
  • 10:00: Arrive at Ketapang Port and cross back to Bali by ferry.
  • 12:00 (Bali Time): Drive to your hotel in the Bali area.
  • 16:00: Arrive at your hotel.
