3-Day Tumpak Sewu, Bromo and Ijen Volcano Tour from Surabaya

• 06.00 - 09.30: Depart from Surabaya or Malang and drive to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall.
• 09.30 - 12.30: Meet the local guide and head together to one of the most visited waterfalls in Indonesia.
• 12.30 - 16.30: After around 2-3 hours enjoying the waterfall, continue to your next hotel in the Bromo area. Once you reach the hotel, you will have some free time at your convenience to stroll around the property, explore the nearby farming area, witness the daily activities of the Tenggerese people, or simply relax at the hotel.

• 03.00: Wake up early in the morning.
• 03.00 - 04.30: Get ready to be picked up at 3.00 am by a 4WD vehicle to experience the bumpy road to Mt. Penanjakan, the best spot to enjoy the breathtaking Bromo sunrise.
• 04.30 - 05.00: Take a coffee break while waiting for sunrise.
• 05.00 - 06.00: Enjoy the Bromo sunrise.
• 06.00 - 07.00: Head to Mount Bromo Crater.
  • Driving down the hill, you will pass the vast Sea of Sand, formed by the eruption of Mt. Bromo, followed by an easy 30-minute trek all the way to the peak.
  • From the crater rim, you can see the active Bromo crater, the caldera, and the mountainous views of Mt. Batok and Mt. Semeru, the highest mountain on Java Island.
  • You can also find the Hindu temple reflecting Majapahit history. If you are lucky, you may witness the Yadnya Kasada ceremony, a Tenggerese festival held every 14th day of the Kasada month to honor Sang Hyang Widhi, the Almighty God, Roro Anteng, the daughter of King Majapahit, and Joko Seger, the son of a Brahmana.
• 07.00 - 08.00: Volcano climbing.
• 08.00 - 09.00: Return from Bromo Crater and stop for breakfast at a local restaurant.
• 09.00 - 15.30: Drive to your hotel in Bondowoso or Banyuwangi.

• 23.30 - 02.00: Wake up early in the morning and drive to Paltuding at Mt. Ijen Crater. Breakfast is provided in a breakfast box.
• 02.00 - 04.00: Begin an hour trek to Ijen Crater to witness the Blue Fire phenomenon.
• 04.00 - 06.00: Enjoy the fascinating view of Mt. Ijen.
• 06.00 - 07.30: Descend from Mt. Ijen.
• 07.30 - 08.00: Have breakfast. The hotel will provide you with a breakfast box.
• 08.00 - 09.00: Drive to Ketapang Port or continue to Surabaya or Malang.
