The itinerary

Day 01

Surabaya or Malang to Mount Bromo and Ijen Area

  • 23:30 - 01:30: Depart from Surabaya or Malang for Sukapura Village.
  • 01:30 - 03:00: Arrive at Sukapura Village and continue to the sunrise viewpoint by private 4WD jeep.
  • 03:00 - 04:30: Arrive at the sunrise viewpoint and take a coffee break while waiting for sunrise.
  • 04:30 - 06:00: Enjoy the Bromo sunrise.
  • 06:00 - 07:00: Head to the Mount Bromo crater.
  • 07:00 - 08:00: Climb the volcano.
  • 08:00 - 09:00: Return from the Bromo crater and stop for breakfast at a local restaurant.
  • 09:00 - 17:30: Drive to your hotel in Bondowoso or Banyuwangi, with a stop for lunch along the way.

Day 02

Mount Ijen Trek and Transfer to Ketapang or Surabaya/Malang

  • 23:30 - 02:00: Early morning drive to Paltuding at Mount Ijen Crater. Breakfast is provided in a breakfast box.
  • 02:00 - 04:00: Climb Mount Ijen. The trek takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
  • 04:00 - 06:00: Witness the Blue Flame.
  • 06:00 - 07:30: Descend from Mount Ijen.
  • 07:30 - 08:00: Have breakfast. The hotel will provide a breakfast box.
  • 08:00 - 09:00: Drive to Ketapang Port or continue to Surabaya or Malang.
