Cahal Pech, Green Iguana Project, and Local Crafts
- Depart on a scenic drive from Belize City, heading due west for approximately 72 miles to San Ignacio Town. Along the way, your guide will interpret the areas you pass through and share information about the history of Belize.
- Upon arrival at the reserve, you will have a 15-minute restroom break. You will then gather for an interpretive walk through the museum for approximately 30 minutes, after which your guide will lead you into the reserve and interpret the local flora and fauna of the area, as well as the structures on site.
- After touring the site, enjoy a local lunch at a nearby restaurant for approximately 1 hour.
- After lunch, continue to the Iguana Tour, where your on-site guide will interpret your visit to the Green Iguana Project.
- After the tour, stop at a local arts and crafts shop for shopping for approximately 15 minutes.
- Then depart for your connection to the hotel. The tour lasts approximately 6.5 hours.
