Day 1: Arrival and Orientation
- Depending on your arrival time, our experienced guide will pick you up at Bujumbura International Airport and transfer you to the hotel for check-in and dinner.
- Our guide will brief you about the entire trip, including the dos and don’ts, and ensure you are comfortable with the tour.
Overnight at City Hill Hotel.

Day 2: Lake Tanganyika, Rusizi National Park, and Chimpanzee Tracking
- Wake up at 7:30 AM for breakfast, then return to your room for a morning freshen-up.
- Be sure to check out of your room at your own expense before 8:30 AM.
- Our guide will pick you up and drive you to Rusizi National Park, one of the most interesting parks near Bujumbura.
- Enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Tanganyika, where, if you are lucky, you might spot hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species.
- After the boat ride, we will visit the Livingstone Monument and have lunch.
- Later, we will visit the first Catholic church built in Burundi to learn more about its history.
- In the afternoon, we will drive 3 hours south to track chimpanzees.
- Check-in at Moonlight Hotel, followed by dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking and Scenic Exploration
- Wake up early at 5:30 AM to begin the journey to Bururi Forest National Park for a chimpanzee tracking adventure with our expert guides. The trek will last about 3 hours.
- Afterwards, return to the hotel for breakfast, check out, and continue your journey to the Source of the Nile and the Pyramid, where you will learn more about the region's fascinating history.
- Next, we will visit Karera Falls, an awe-inspiring natural wonder, before proceeding to Gitega, the political capital of Burundi.
Overnight at Isango Hotel.

Day 4: Cultural Heritage and Departure
- After breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to the Gishora Drum Sanctuary for a cultural dance experience, where you will learn about the significance of drumming in Burundian culture.
- Afterwards, we will transfer you to Bujumbura Airport for your departure.
