Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival
- On this day, you will be welcomed by our professional driver guide at Bujumbura International Airport.
- You will be transferred for a cultural experience and later driver Rusizi National Park and enjoy a boat cruise on the Rusizi River where you will have a chance to spot wildlife such as hippos and crocodiles and a variety of bird species you will view the joining point between Rusizi river and lake Tanganyika.
- You will enjoy the Belvedere climb, where you will have a great view of Bujumbura city.
- Visit the meeting place between Burton Speke and Livingston, which has monuments of heroes of independence.
- Later, drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Karera Falls, Gitega, & the Drum Sanctuary of Gishora
- After breakfast, you will be transferred to Karera Falls.
- Along the way, you will have stunning views of the scenery, inclusive of the tea plantations.
- After the waterfall visit, you will proceed on the journey to Gitega, a town well known as the second town and the colonial capital of Burundi. You will have a tour around this city and visit Gitega National Museum.
- You will see several artifacts at this museum, the catholic location of Mushasha and Gitega administrative offices.
- On this day, you will visit one of the famous sites in Burundi, well known as the drum sanctuary of Gishora.

Day 3: Rubuvu National Park
- After breakfast, you will embark on your vehicle to Rubuvu National Park.
- You will have several stops along the way for photography and stunning views of the country’s beautiful scenery. You will have a chance to spot wildlife such as buffaloes, antelopes, and a variety of bird species.
- You will have lunch en route and a late drive to Bujumbura for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Kigwena National Park
- After breakfast, you will embark on your vehicle and transfer to Kigwena National Park.
- On arrival, you will enjoy a forest walk, and you will see flora and fauna, such as chimpanzees and a variety of species of monkeys and Baboons.
- You will visit the spring water at Mugara, a place you can’t miss visiting.
- You will later transfer to Bujumbura for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Departure
- After breakfast, you will be transferred to Bujumbura airport marking the end of your five-day Uganda safari.
