The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Palangka Raya and Orangutan Island Visit

Your Indonesian tour guide will pick you up from the airport.
Drive for around 30 km to reach Tangkiling National Park. Your tour guide will assist you with your hotel check-in and luggage.
Take a boat to the orangutan island. These apes were released on the island only after completing their rehabilitation program. Visitors are not allowed to leave the boats and can observe them only from a specific distance.

Overnight stay at the resort.

Day 02

Orangutan Excursion and Transfer to Banjarmasin

Have breakfast and go for a boat ride to visit more orangutans. Your guide will explain that these apes are found only on different Indonesian islands.
Return to the resort, collect your luggage, and leave for Banjarmasin. It will take around six hours to reach Banjarmasin.
Stop at a traditional house called Betang. These houses are very popular in this part of Indonesia because they are made from fine-quality wood. The stairs used to enter the house are known as the 'hejot'.
Stop for a quick lunch.
In the evening, reach Banjarmasin and check in to the hotel.

Day 03

Journey from Banjarmasin to Loksado via Negara

Start your drive to Negara.
Enjoy lunch on the way.
Continue driving and reach Loksado later in the evening.

Day 04

Trek to a Dayak Village and Waterfall

Enjoy a delicious breakfast and start trekking from Loksado to the Dayak village.
Visit the waterfall and some traditional houses. Along the way, come across a variety of flora and fauna and see a number of cascades during the trek.
Stay with the Dayak community and observe their lives closely. You will also have a traditional meal with them.

Day 05

Bamboo Rafting on the Amandit River

Have an early breakfast before going rafting on the Amandit River.
Bamboo rafting is a unique experience, and you will spend around three hours on the river.
After lunch, head back to Banjarmasin.

Day 06

Floating Market, Monkey Island, and Departure

Visit the floating market early in the morning. Your tour guide will meet you at 05:00 am.
Take a boat to the floating market. These markets attract tourists from all over the world because of the unique products sold here.
After breakfast, go for the Monkey Island tour.
Transfer to the airport for departure.
