Itinerary

1. Day 1

   • Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a Kaije Safaris representative and transferred to your hotel in Entebbe. 
   • Spend the evening resting and preparing for the exciting journey ahead.

2. Day 2

   • Begin your adventure with a drive to Murchison Falls National Park. 
   • En route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an up-close encounter with rhinos in their natural habitat. 
   • Continue to Murchison Falls and check into Paraa Safari Lodge, where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

3. Day 3

   • Start the day with a morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile River, where you can spot elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, and more. 
   • In the afternoon, embark on a boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls, witnessing the powerful Nile River squeeze through a narrow gorge. 
   • Return to Paraa Safari Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

4. Day 4

   • After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls and drive to Kibale Forest National Park. 
   • Arrive at Primate Lodge Kibale in the late afternoon and check in. 
   • Spend the evening relaxing in the tranquil forest environment.

5. Day 5

   • In the morning, enjoy the Top of the World hike, offering panoramic views of the Rwenzori Mountains, crater lakes, and the surrounding landscape. 
   • In the afternoon, take a leisurely ride around Fort Portal town, exploring local markets and landmarks.

6. Day 6

   • Today, head into Kibale Forest for a chimpanzee tracking adventure. 
   • Guided by experienced trackers, locate and observe these fascinating primates in their natural habitat. 
   • After lunch, take a guided walk in the Bigodi Swamp Sanctuary, known for its rich biodiversity. 
   • Return to Primate Lodge for the night.

7. Day 7

   • After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through the scenic Rwenzori Mountains. 
   • Check into Mweya Safari Lodge and enjoy an afternoon boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, where you can see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a variety of birdlife. 
   • Return to the lodge for a relaxing evening.

8. Day 8

   • Begin the day with a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, spotting elephants, lions, buffaloes, and more.
   • After lunch, take an explosion crater drive, exploring the park’s volcanic craters and enjoying stunning panoramic views. 
   • Return to Mweya Safari Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

9. Day 9

   • Proceed to the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, heading towards the Ishasha sector, known for its tree-climbing lions. 
   • Check into Ishasha Wilderness Camp and enjoy an afternoon game drive to spot these unique lions. 
   • Return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

10. Day 10

    • Start the day with a morning game drive in Ishasha, where you might see tree-climbing lions, elephants, buffaloes, and more.
    • After the game drive, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Check into Buhoma Lodge and spend the evening relaxing.

11. Day 11

    • The highlight of your safari awaits as you embark on a gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi. 
    • After a briefing by park rangers, trek through the dense forest to locate a gorilla family. 
    • Spend an hour observing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. 
    • Return to Buhoma Lodge to rest and reflect on your incredible experience.

12. Day 12

    • After breakfast, visit a nearby Batwa community to learn about the traditional lifestyle and culture of the Batwa people. 
    • Enjoy engaging stories, music, and dances. 
    • After the visit, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi and check into Birdnest @ Bunyonyi Resort, where you can relax and enjoy the serene lake views.

13. Day 13

    • Explore the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi today. 
    • Take a canoe ride to visit some of the lake’s islands, interact with the local community, and learn about their way of life. 
    • Enjoy birdwatching and take in the stunning scenery. Return to Birdnest @ Bunyonyi Resort for a relaxing evening.

14. Day 14

    • After breakfast, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. Check into Mihingo Lodge and enjoy an afternoon game drive, where you can see zebras, impalas, buffaloes, and various bird species. 
    • Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

15. Day 15

    • Start the day with a guided nature walk in Lake Mburo National Park, offering a closer look at the park’s flora and fauna. 
    • After the walk, begin your journey back to Entebbe, stopping for lunch along the way. 
    • Arrive in Entebbe in the late afternoon or early evening, in time for your departure flight, marking the end of your 15-day adventure with Kaije Safaris.
