The itinerary

Day 01

Ferry

We will start in Reykjavik, then we will drive to ferry (1,5 h).
This small ferry trip (40 min.) will be very scenic - ocean, volcanic islands. You can see a lot of birds and even whales.

Day 02

Herjólfsdalur

We will visit Herjolfstown, where we can see how first Vikings lived here.

Day 03

Halldórsskora (Elephant Rock)

Venture to Elephant rock.
This unique basalt geological rock formation is thought to have been formed in one of the many volcanic eruptions of Mt. Eldfell in the last 15000 years.

Day 04

Stórhöfði

Then we will move to the puffins home.
More than 2 million birds come to Westman islands during summer season.

Day 05

Eldfell

And of course we will visit Eldfell - volcano which totally change life of island.
