Solidarity History Walk in Gdańsk
In the course of the tour, visit the following places:
Visit the Office of Lech Wałęsa, a retired Polish politician and labour activist who founded Solidarity, a Polish labour union, and see the places where he led the workers on strike.
Head to the historic Occupational Health Hall, where you can take pictures and buy Solidarity gadgets.
Go to an exhibition dedicated to Poland's bloodless revolution, which paved the way for the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of dictatorship.
Stop by Solidarity Square, where the Monument to the Fallen Shipyard Workers is located. The memorial commemorates the shipyard workers killed in December 1970.
See the area of the former Lenin Shipyard, the birthplace of the Solidarity trade union.
