Luxor to Aswan via Edfu and Aswan Highlights
- In the early morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Luxor and transferred by air-conditioned private car to Aswan. Your first stop will be Edfu Temple, one of the most striking and complete ancient Egyptian temples, dedicated to the worship of the god Horus.
- Then, enjoy a motorboat ride with a special view of the Nile on your way to explore Philae Temple. This beautiful temple complex is one of the most picturesque in all of Egypt. The Temple of Isis was one of the last ancient Egyptian temples to remain active, continuing to function until the reign of the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I (527-565 AD).
- Next, you will visit the High Dam. The dam is 3,600 meters long, 980 meters thick at the base, and 111 meters tall. It is a modern example of Egypt's monumental construction.
- After that, we will head to explore the Unfinished Obelisk. It was discovered in the early twentieth century after having been covered by sand for thousands of years.
- Next, stop for lunch at a high-quality local restaurant.
- Then, we will check in at your hotel and continue our tour to explore a Nubian village and enjoy tea there.
